Through movement, touch, meditation, voice, anatomical images, and dialogue, we will awaken awareness of their dynamic qualities to embody the support that they
bring to your personal expression and your body’s movement and practice. All are welcome to participate at their own level of experience and comfort.Tuesdays, November 7, 14, 21, 28, with Mariko Tanabe, 5:30pm-6:45pm ET, on Zoom

While many of us feel challenged and overwhelmed these days, I am excited to offer this Body-Mind Centering® workshop on the Nervous System. This complex and ingenious system can seem daunting. I wish to demystify it by offering an accessible and embodied approach that supports the nervous system and deepens our sense of its inner workings. This includes how it began through some early embryological development, to how it works in collaboration with our blood, organs, muscles, bones and other tissues through movement, sound, touch and meditations for grounding, balance and ease in our practice and daily lives.
All are welcome, no previous experience is necessary.
Saturday, January 21, 1:00pm-3:30pm ET on Zoom
$65 for the workshop.

Discover the teachings of Body-Mind Centering®, explore ways to nourish the practices of your daily life, and harmonize your connection with your body and the natural world.
Each day we will explore the different body systems (bones, organs, fluids, fascia and muscles) through their anatomy and physiological functions. This will include movement, touch, voice and meditation. The heart of this embodiment follows ways that our bodies are akin with the natural world through their design, function and composition, and touches upon their deeper wisdom that has been carried through the ages.
No prior experience is required, only the desire to explore with curiosity and lightness. Each person is welcome to participate at their own level of comfort and interest.

Discover how your muscles create your postural tone and function as a sense organ through all your actions. Explore your muscles through the framework of fascia, ligaments, tendons and bones and the underpinnings of their embryological development to find more ease through your whole body. Through gravity, space, and the inner realms of your movement, we will explore how muscles work, empowering us and expressing our aspirations each moment. All are welcome to participate at their own level of comfort and experience.

Learning objective: Reawaken your connection with the natural world
This workshop is informed by the teachings of Body-Mind Centering®, and inspired by teachings of ancient ways that humans have practiced earth honoring traditions since the early age of our species, and how our sense of belonging is nurtured by our relationship with the natural world. We will journey through our bones and marrow, fluids, cellular consciousness, breath, embryology and DNA spirals to experience ways that we embody our ancestors and their wisdom and memories. Be prepared to dive into deeper layers of memory and wisdom through meditation, voice, breath and movement, and participate at your own level of comfort.

Many of us have been living through so much uncertainty, change and adaptation these past eighteen months, and self-care and resilience seem to be needed more than ever.
This fall, I am excited to share with you what is most alive for me at this time. My embodiment practice has changed with the times. In this series I have decided to create a space where we can meet, further develop our questions, and explore our experiences, and insights. This series of five 90-minute classes on zoom will take place every other Sunday from mid-October to mid-December.
In each class, I will lead a 30-minute exploration through different approaches to embody your heart, immune system, blood, cells, muscles, breath, and their relationship to the natural world around us for self-care and resilience. A space will be held for questions and to share your experiences with the group, as well as in smaller groups for more intimate investigation and sharing.
